Gatehouse Awards Quality Endorsement Scheme (GA QES)

The Gatehouse Awards Quality Endorsement Scheme (GA QES) is a private quality endorsement framework for the evaluation and approval of education and training programmes.

The scheme is delivered by the UK awarding organisation Gatehouse Awards, which is regulated by Ofqual in the United Kingdom.
Reference to Ofqual regulation relates exclusively to the regulatory status of the awarding organisation within the UK and does not imply any form of state, public, statutory, academic, or professional recognition of programmes, providers, or learners in any country, including Greece, Italy, and Cyprus.

Scope of Application

The Quality Endorsement Scheme (QES) may be applied across a broad range of subject areas, regardless of the number of programmes submitted.

Indicative subject areas include:
Health, Public Services and Care, Science and Mathematics, Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Care, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies, Construction, Planning and the Built Environment, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Retail and Commercial Enterprise, Leisure, Travel and Tourism, Arts, Media and Publishing, History, Philosophy and Theology, Social Sciences, Languages, Literature and Culture, Education and Training, Preparation for Life and Work; Business, Administration, Finance and Law.

Approval Process

Education providers submit centre approval applications and programme endorsement applications through QualExperts to Gatehouse Awards.
Gatehouse Awards reviews the submitted documentation and determines approval in accordance with the requirements of the Quality Endorsement Scheme.

Following approval, education providers may submit learner details for the issuance of certificates by Gatehouse Awards, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the QES.
